General Manufacturing

What motorcycle apparel does Glaze MFG manufacture?

Glaze MFG manufactures custom motorcycle jackets, riding pants, motorcycle jeans, gloves, protective hoodies, riding shirts, vests, rainwear, base layers and related riding accessories. We work with textile, leather and hybrid constructions for touring, sport, urban, adventure and off-road motorcycle brands.

Does Glaze MFG provide OEM and ODM motorcycle apparel manufacturing?

Yes. Our OEM service is suitable for brands that already have a completed tech pack, measurements and material specifications. Our ODM service supports brands that need help developing a product from an idea, reference image or physical sample. Both options include private-label branding and custom production.

Can you manufacture from a tech pack or reference sample?

Yes. We can manufacture from a completed tech pack, reference sample, design sketch or detailed product images. Our team reviews the construction, measurements, materials, branding and protection requirements before beginning sample development.

Can Glaze MFG help develop a new motorcycle clothing design?

Yes. We can assist with material selection, pattern development, fitting, protector placement, construction details and branding. A development sample is produced first so the design can be reviewed and adjusted before bulk manufacturing begins.

Do you work with new motorcycle brands?

Yes. We work with both emerging and established motorcycle apparel brands. New brands can begin with product development and sampling before committing to bulk production. The most suitable quantity and development process depend on the product’s complexity and material requirements.

MOQ & Samples

What is your minimum order quantity for custom motorcycle apparel?

Our standard minimum order quantity is generally 50 pieces per design. The quantity may be divided across different sizes. MOQ can vary depending on the product, materials, colour combinations, branding methods and component requirements.

Can I order fewer than 50 pieces for my first production order?

Smaller trial orders of approximately 10 to 15 pieces may be considered for selected products. Trial-order availability depends on the design, available materials and production requirements. The unit price for a small order is normally higher than for standard bulk production

Do I need to order a sample before bulk production?

We strongly recommend producing and approving a sample before bulk production. The sample allows you to check the design, measurements, fit, materials, colours, branding, protectors and construction details. Bulk production begins after the final specifications are approved.

How long does motorcycle apparel sample development take?

A standard motorcycle apparel sample normally takes approximately 10 to 14 working days after the specifications, materials, payment and artwork are confirmed. Highly technical garments, leather products, custom components or certification-focused designs may require additional time.

Can sample changes be made before bulk production?

Yes. After reviewing the first sample, the customer can provide comments about fit, measurements, construction, colours or branding. Approved changes are recorded in the final specifications. A second sample may be required when the changes substantially affect the pattern, fit or construction.

Materials & Protection

What materials do you use for motorcycle clothing?

Material options include abrasion-resistant polyester and nylon fabrics, leather, stretch panels, aramid reinforcements, mesh linings, waterproof membranes, thermal linings and reflective materials. Branded materials such as Cordura® or Kevlar® can be used when specifically requested and commercially available.

Can customers select their own materials and components?

Yes. Customers can specify the main fabric, leather type, lining, zippers, protectors, thread, reflective material, fasteners and other components. We can also recommend suitable options based on the intended riding use, target price and required protection level.

What is the difference between CE Level 1 and Level 2 protectors?

Level 1 and Level 2 refer to the impact-performance classification of motorcycle protectors. Level 2 protectors transmit less force during the required impact tests and generally provide a higher level of impact protection. The final choice may also depend on flexibility, thickness, coverage and garment design.

Can motorcycle protectors be removable?

Yes. Motorcycle jackets, pants, hoodies and riding shirts can be manufactured with internal pockets for removable shoulder, elbow, back, hip or knee protectors. Pocket positioning and adjustment systems are developed according to the garment design and intended certification requirements.

Can you manufacture waterproof and ventilated motorcycle apparel?

Yes. Depending on the product, we can incorporate waterproof membranes, sealed construction areas, water-resistant zippers, ventilation panels, air vents, removable thermal linings and mesh zones. The exact configuration should be selected according to the climate, riding conditions and target retail market.

CE Certification

Can Glaze MFG manufacture EN 17092 motorcycle garments?

Yes. We can develop motorcycle jackets, trousers, hoodies and other garments using constructions intended for testing under EN 17092. Material selection, seam construction, protectors and garment design must be planned according to the desired performance class and intended market.

What is the difference between EN 17092 Class A, AA and AAA?

EN 17092 classifications indicate different performance levels for protective motorcycle garments. Class A is generally used for lighter garments, Class AA provides a higher balance of protection and comfort, and Class AAA represents the highest performance class within this standard. The finished garment must pass the relevant laboratory tests.

Can Glaze MFG assist with motorcycle apparel certification?

Yes. We can support certification-focused development, prepare product samples and coordinate technical requirements for testing by an independent laboratory. Testing costs, documentation and timelines depend on the product, required standard, number of variations and selected testing laboratory.

Which standards apply to motorcycle gloves and protectors?

Motorcycle gloves are commonly assessed under EN 13594, while limb protectors such as shoulder, elbow, hip and knee protectors are commonly assessed under EN 1621-1. Back protectors are covered by a separate part of the EN 1621 standard. The exact requirements should be confirmed for each product and market.

Can an existing certificate be used for a modified garment?

Not automatically. Changes to materials, seams, protectors, construction or design may affect the tested performance of the product. Significant modifications should be reviewed with the testing or certification body to determine whether additional assessment or testing is required.

Custom Branding

What private-label branding options are available?

Branding options include embroidery, screen printing, heat transfer, reflective printing, sublimation, woven labels, rubber or silicone badges, leather patches, embossed logos and custom zipper pullers. The best method depends on the material, design, quantity and required appearance.

Can you add custom neck labels, size labels and care labels?

Yes. We can produce and attach custom brand labels, size labels, composition labels, care labels and country-of-origin labels. Customers should provide the required artwork and label information before sample production.

Can you produce custom hangtags and branded packaging?

Yes. Custom hangtags, barcode labels, polybags, product cards, boxes and other branded packaging can be arranged. Packaging requirements should be confirmed during development because some custom packaging items have separate supplier MOQs.

Can motorcycle apparel be produced in custom colors?

Yes. Products can be developed using custom color combinations based on Pantone references, physical swatches or approved digital artwork. Final color matching may vary according to the material, dyeing process, printing method and supplier availability.

Are customer designs kept confidential?

Yes. Customer tech packs, artwork, specifications and product designs are treated as confidential project information. A non-disclosure agreement can also be signed before detailed designs or commercially sensitive information are shared.

Production & Shipping

What is the motorcycle apparel production process?

The process normally includes requirement review, quotation, sample development, sample revisions, final approval, pre-production confirmation, material preparation, bulk manufacturing, quality inspection, packing and shipment. Bulk production follows the final approved sample and confirmed specifications.

How long does bulk motorcycle apparel production take?

Bulk production time depends on the order quantity, product complexity, material availability, branding process and certification requirements. A production schedule is provided after the sample, quantity, materials and final specifications have been approved.

How do you control product quality?

Quality control includes checking incoming materials, measurements, stitching, seam construction, branding placement, protectors, zippers and finishing. Inspections are carried out during production and again before packing. Approved samples and specifications are used as the production reference.

Do you ship motorcycle apparel internationally?

Yes. Glaze MFG ships samples and bulk motorcycle apparel to international customers. Courier, air cargo and sea freight options can be arranged depending on the order size, destination, cost and required delivery time.

Which shipping companies do you use?

Samples and smaller shipments can be dispatched through international courier services such as DHL, UPS or FedEx. Larger production orders may be shipped by air cargo or sea freight. The available shipping method and quotation are confirmed according to the destination and shipment size
