Motorcycle Racing Gloves for Track & High-Performance Riding 

Motorcycle racing gloves are developed for riders who require close control feedback, secure wrist retention and extensive protective coverage during high-performance riding. Compared with standard sport gloves, racing gloves normally use a longer gauntlet, more comprehensive impact protection and stronger retention systems around the wrist and lower forearm.

Our development process begins by defining the intended racing application, target rider, required fit and protection objectives. Glove patterns are engineered around the natural hand position used when gripping motorcycle handlebars. Pre-curved fingers help reduce material bunching and hand fatigue when operating the throttle, front brake and clutch.

Finger length, palm width, thumb rotation and knuckle position must be carefully balanced. Poorly positioned seams or protectors can create pressure points, restrict movement or reduce control sensitivity. Articulated finger panels, stretch zones and flexible gussets can therefore be positioned around the knuckles, thumb and finger joints.

The gauntlet must fit securely over a racing suit or sports-jacket sleeve. Closure systems can include an internal wrist strap combined with an adjustable outer gauntlet closure to reduce the risk of the glove being pulled off during an incident.

Additional options include external finger seams, touchscreen-compatible fingertips, visor-wiping panels and bridge connections between selected fingers. Each prototype is evaluated for grip, finger movement, wrist retention, protector alignment and gauntlet compatibility before production approval.


Materials & Protection 

Motorcycle racing gloves require carefully selected materials across the palm, fingers, back of the hand and gauntlet. Depending on the required performance and price point, gloves can be manufactured using cowhide, goatskin, kangaroo leather, synthetic reinforcement materials or hybrid constructions.

Goatskin may be selected for areas requiring softness and flexibility, while cowhide can provide a more structured and durable construction. Kangaroo leather may be used for premium palm applications where low bulk, sensitivity and flexibility are priorities. Final material selection depends on the intended performance, target weight and certification objective.

Protective components may include moulded knuckle shells, finger armour, palm sliders, scaphoid protection, wrist cups and reinforced gauntlets. Components can be produced using carbon fibre, TPU, TPR or other customer-approved materials.

The palm can include additional leather layers, abrasion-resistant textile reinforcement or grip material in high-wear areas. Reinforcement must be positioned without creating excessive thickness around the motorcycle controls.

Construction options include external finger seams, reinforced safety stitching, double-layer impact zones, articulated stretch panels and finger-bridge systems. Perforated leather and controlled ventilation openings can also be incorporated to improve airflow.

The final racing-glove construction is developed according to the brand’s intended protection level, flexibility requirements, retail position and applicable testing objectives.


OEM / ODM & Private Label Manufacturing

Our product-development team can assist with glove-pattern engineering, leather selection, reinforcement mapping, protector design, gauntlet construction and wrist-retention systems. Racing gloves can be developed as standalone products or coordinated with leather suits, racing jackets and other performance riding apparel.

Every element can be customised, including leather type, colour combinations, perforation, finger construction, cuff length, knuckle shells, palm sliders, wrist protection and closure systems. Customers can also specify external seams, touchscreen functionality and branding placement.

Minimum Order Quantity & Production 

Every motorcycle racing gloves project begins with a review of the design, sizing, leather specification, protective components and branding requirements. Prototype development is recommended before bulk manufacturing so the customer can assess fit, grip, finger mobility, gauntlet compatibility and wrist retention.

Standard production generally begins from 50 pairs per design. The final minimum order quantity depends on leather availability, colour combinations, custom moulded protectors, branded components and overall construction complexity.

Sample development normally takes approximately 10–14 working days after the design, sizing, materials and branding details have been confirmed. New protector moulds, custom hardware or specially developed components may require additional development time.

After sample approval, production includes leather inspection, shade matching, panel cutting, reinforcement preparation, protector installation, stitching, closure assembly, branding application and finishing.

Completed gloves are checked for size consistency, seam quality, finger mobility, protector alignment, wrist security, closure strength and left-to-right matching. They are then paired, packed according to the customer’s private-label requirements and prepared for worldwide export.
